I have had Arthritis in my right knee for approx. 4½ years, very painful, I could hardly drive to work in the mornings, my job was driving a crane, so I had to give up work at 64 years of age.

Well, well, well who would have thought it! A few months ago my arthritic pains were becoming a serious problem. They were always there, getting in the way of my sleep; preventing me from lifting my young grandchildren; making shopping and traveling ordeals instead of pleasures, and then I saw your copper insoles!

I woke up one morning and to my horror I could not turn in bed, I was sure that I had suffered a stroke , I struggled to get downstairs and went to the doctor, I had difficulty getting in and out of the car and up a few steps to the Surgery, I was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica and given a course of steroids which gave me horrible side effects.

Since wearing the Heelers I have found relief in my Arthritis pain.
The problems I have had with my thumbs, knees, big toe, neck and hips is greatly reduced, and the pain is now a slight ache instead of intense pain.

Seven years ago I injured my back and fell on my coxis which in turn led to Arthritis of the spine.

I first saw your advertisement for copper heelers while on holiday in Gran Canaria and wondered if they really did work. I purchased a pair in October 2008 and found that after 2 weeks I was able to walk up and down stairs in the correct way and not take one step at a time walking on a sideways angle.

I am a boatbuilder/cabinetmaker by trade which has meant that for much of the last 20 years I have put an enormous amount of strain on my joints – especially my knees (a lot of boat building work involves crouching and kneeling).

After suffering for many years with osteoarthritis in my feet I gave up my job as a plasterer and joined the NHS, working as a nursing assistant in theatres, a job I really enjoy.
Although my osteoarthritis improved I was still suffering pain in my feet especially first thing in the morning. Now my job requires me to be on my feet all-day long and as you can appreciate it can be quite painful and my sister went on line to see if there was a solution to my problem and bought me a pair of copper heelers.

I have suffered with psoriatic arthritis for two years. Initially I was in pain throughout my entire body to the extent that I couldn’t walk; get in the bath or even go to the toilet unaided. It was horrendous. I have three children, the youngest being two years old now, and not being able to pick him up or cuddle him was heartbreaking.

The pain affected me mostly in the spring but we have our own garden design business so I couldn’t take time off. This meant that my husband had to help look after me instead of being able to work at our busiest time of year. This had a knock-on effect of increasing financial stress – in turn the stress provokes the inflammation!

I went to my doctor, who prescribed a chemo-therapy drug which I didn’t want to take due to its recent appearance on the market place and possible side-effects, as well as the need to have weekly blood tests. Instead I took opium-based pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs. Although these helped to a certain degree, I was still in a lot of pain for about six months.

Having refused the medication suggested by the rheumatologists and doctors, it was up to me to find a solution that I could live with. I read a lot about various diets and eventually followed a combination of the Kousmine and Seignalet diets a strict diet which eliminated wheat, dairy, alcohol and caffeine. I had to supplement my diet quite heavily to ensure I was not missing out any essential food elements at this point with omega 3, probiotics and a combination of colza, olive and nut oils. I was still taking the ani-inflammatories, but was able to lower the strength. I also replaced the opium based pain killers with paracetamol, and after 4 months I started to feel better.

I was worried though, as I was still taking anti-inflammatories and paracetamol on a daily basis, as the pain was still significant in my fingers, knees and feet.

I then heard about a copper insole called the Original Copper Heeler through my mother-in-law (who also uses them) and decided to give it a try.

I was given a pair of copper inserts by a friend to see if they would help with pain associated with my osteoarthritis.

I had already had two successful hip replacements over the last two years but was now suffering with knee pain.

I’ve had problems with a painful ankle since Christmas 2006. This pain at times progressed to my knee and the net result of both was a substantial limp and a limit to my walking ability.

After 20 years of walking in the Lake District, I was slowly coming to the conclusion my walking days were coming to an end due to Arthritis in my knees.

Over the past few years I have been getting pains in my toes. This began as an intermittent pain but had become a daily occurrence and extremely painful (I can only describe it as my toes being held in a vice!!)

I have bad arthritis in my left foot and had been taking pain killers for many months to relieve the pain but I saw the Original Copper Heelers advertised in the Melbourne Sunday Sun and thought I would order a pair just to try.

Was finding walking to work each day quite painful until by chance I saw your shop window. I was sceptical about buying them before taking the plunge but I had nothing to lose and all to gain.

As a teacher of the Alexander Technique I don’t usually favour gadgets. However, I was persuaded to try the Copper Heeler as arthritis was developing in the right knee.

I am a convert, and have now bought many pairs as I want to wear them all the time.

My right knee is giving very little trouble now.

I have had a condition called Polymyalgia Rheumatica which affects the connective tissue, and it left me with uncomfortable shoulders.
